【制作コメント】
私は鉄観・熔接観を持っています。
熔接・熔断とは、金属を局所的に熔融し、接合や切断をする為の工業技術ですが、私はこれを自分なりに解釈する事で、主目的である接合切断以外の要素を発見し、美的技法として作品へと昇華させてきました。それは熔融による変容を注視しながら、鉄をかき混ぜ、紡ぐ様にフォルムを創り上げる行為であり、熔融速度や接触頻度に変化を与えながら鉄を誘導して、様々な状態、風姿を獲得する時間でもありました。
私にとって創作とは、技法を通して言葉とフォルムを発見する事なのですが、段々と、それだけではないと考えるようにもなりました。
素材が元来備えている特性や、背景にある歴史、文化、情緒などに対し、私的技法で体当たりしています。全体と部分、刹那と劫とを同時に捉えたいと願望し、鉄と対峙していると、その複雑化した容態に「美を見つけた」と思える時があり、この情線をもって、社会や周囲と向き合っています。
Artist Statement
I possess a perspective on iron and welding. Welding and cutting are industrial techniques that locally melt metal to join or sever it. By interpreting this process in my own way, I have discovered elements beyond its primary purpose of joining and cutting, elevating them into aesthetic techniques within my work. It is an act of creating form by stirring and spinning iron while intently observing its transformation through melting. It is also a time of guiding the iron by varying the melting speed and frequency of contact, enabling it to acquire diverse states and appearances. For me, creation is about discovering words and form through technique, but gradually, I came to believe it is more than that. I confront the inherent properties of the material, its underlying history, culture, and sentiment with my personal technique. I aspire to grasp the whole and the part, the fleeting moment and the eon simultaneously. When facing iron, there are moments when I feel I have “found beauty” within its complex state, and it is with this emotional thread that I engage with society and my surroundings.

桃青京都ギャラリーでは、秋の恒例となりました「茶碗展」を開催いたします。
2023年の初回よりご好評を賜り、本年も若手からベテランまで多くの作家が集い、茶碗を通じて多彩な表現を披露いたします。
土の質感や造形美を五感で感じられる伝統的な茶碗から、器の枠を超え現代美術へと昇華された力強い造形、さらにフォルムの美しい白磁の作品まで、それぞれの作家の個性が光る自信作が一堂に並びます。
掌におさまる小宇宙から、作り手の美意識や温もり、さらには凛とした力を感じ取っていただければ幸いです。

At Tosei Kyoto Gallery, we are pleased to present our annual autumn exhibition, “Tea Bowl Exhibition.”
Since its inaugural edition in 2023, the exhibition has been warmly received, and this year once again brings together a diverse group of artists, from emerging talents to established masters, each exploring the expressive potential of the tea bowl.
From traditional chawans that allow you to experience the tactile qualities and sculptural beauty of clay, to powerful works that transcend the boundaries of the vessel and evolve into contemporary art, and even to elegantly formed porcelain pieces, the exhibition showcases a rich array of distinctive creations.
Within these small universes that fit in the palm of your hand, we hope you will sense the artists’ aesthetics, warmth, and quiet strength.
We warmly invite you to discover new charms of the tea bowl this autumn in Kyoto.
【販売方法およびご入場についてのご案内】
本展では、より多くのお客様に気持ちよくご覧いただけるよう、初日のご入場およびご購入に関して、以下の通りご案内申し上げます。
《初日〈10月10日（金）〉にお並びいただく場合》
・午前10時50分までに当ギャラリー前にお並びいただいたお客様を対象に、整理番号付き入場券を抽選にて配布いたします。
・午前11時より、整理番号の早い順にご入場いただきます。
※入場券の抽選配布は、公平性を保つためのものです。早くお並びいただいても、必ずしも若い番号が配布されるわけではございませんので、あらかじめご了承ください。
＊1年以内の転売は固くお断り致します。(ご購入時に誓約書にご署名をいただきます。)
《整理番号付き入場券に関する注意事項》
・入場券はお一人様につき1枚のみ有効です。ご同伴者がいらっしゃる場合は、それぞれに入場券が必要となります。
・整理番号付き入場券をお持ちの方のご購入はお一人様1点までとさせていただきます。
・整理番号の呼び出し時にご不在の場合は、次の番号の方をご案内いたします。
・券を紛失された場合、券の再発行はできませんので、紛失にご注意ください。
・入場券はご本人様のみ有効であり、譲渡・転売は固くお断りいたします。
・整理番号付き入場券は、ご希望商品の購入を確約するものではありません。展示作品には限りがあり、完売となる場合もございます。あらかじめご了承ください。
・ご入場は原則お一人ずつとなり、滞在時間は最大10分に制限させていただきます。
《10時50分以降にお越しのお客様》
・午前10時50分を過ぎてからお並びいただいた場合、整理番号付き入場券の配布はいたしません。
・その場合、先着順で列をお作りいただき、整理番号付き入場券をお持ちのお客様の入場が全て終わった後に、順番にご入場いただきます。
本展をより多くのお客様にお楽しみいただけるよう、ご理解とご協力を賜りますようお願い申し上げます。

Information on Sales and Admission
To ensure that as many visitors as possible can enjoy the exhibition comfortably, we would like to provide the following information regarding admission and purchases on the first day.
Visitors lining up on the first day (Friday, October 10)
・Numbered admission tickets will be distributed by lottery to those who are in line in front of the gallery by 10:50 a.m.
・Admission will begin at 11:00 a.m., in the order of the numbers drawn.
※Please note that this lottery system is designed to ensure fairness. Even if you arrive early, it does not guarantee that you will receive an early number.
＊Resale of purchased works within one year is strictly prohibited. (You will be asked to sign a pledge upon purchase.)
Notes regarding numbered admission tickets
・Each ticket is valid for one person only. If you are accompanied by someone, each person must have their own ticket.
・Each ticket holder may purchase one work only.
・If your number is called and you are not present, we will proceed to the next person in line.
・Lost tickets cannot be reissued, so please keep them carefully.
・Tickets are non-transferable and may not be resold.
・Holding a numbered ticket does not guarantee the right to purchase a specific work. As the number of exhibited pieces is limited, some works may sell out.
・Admission will generally be one person at a time, with a maximum stay of 10 minutes.
Visitors arriving after 10:50 a.m.
・Those arriving after 10:50 a.m. will not be eligible to receive a numbered admission ticket.
・In that case, please line up in order of arrival. After all ticket holders have entered, other visitors will be admitted in sequence.
