桃青京都ギャラリーでは、毎年秋に「茶碗展」を開催してまいりましたが、毎回多くのお客様よりご好評をいただいており、そのご好評を受け、この春にも開催いたします。
本展では、織部や焼締などの伝統的なスタイルから現代アートの要素を取り入れた斬新な茶碗まで、さまざまな作品を通して、作家それぞれの個性や美意識が鑑賞者の五感に直接訴えかけます。加えて、一部の作家は春を意識した作品を出品しており、季節の気配を感じられる点も本展の見どころのひとつです。
春の京都にて、茶碗の新たな魅力に出会うひと時をぜひお楽しみください。
At Tosei Kyoto Gallery, we have been holding our Chawan (Tea Bowl) Exhibition each autumn in recent years. Thanks to the warm reception it has received, we are pleased to present the exhibition again this spring.
This exhibition features a wide range of works—from traditional styles such as Oribe and Yakishime to more innovative tea bowls incorporating elements of contemporary art. Through these diverse pieces, each artist’s individuality and aesthetic sensibility come vividly to life, engaging the viewer’s senses directly. In addition, some artists have created works inspired by the spirit of spring, offering a subtle sense of the season as one of the highlights of the exhibition.
We warmly invite you to enjoy a moment of discovering new aspects of the tea bowl’s charm in Kyoto this spring.
【販売方法およびご入場についてのご案内】
本展では、より多くのお客様に気持ちよくご覧いただけるよう、初日のご入場およびご購入に関して、以下の通りご案内申し上げます。
《初日〈4月10日（金）〉にお並びいただく場合》
・午前10時50分までに当ギャラリー前にお並びいただいたお客様を対象に、整理番号付き入場券を抽選にて配布いたします。
・午前11時より、整理番号の早い順にご入場いただきます。
※入場券の抽選配布は、公平性を保つためのものです。早くお並びいただいても、必ずしも若い番号が配布されるわけではございませんので、あらかじめご了承ください。
＊1年以内の転売は固くお断り致します。(ご購入時に誓約書にご署名をいただきます。)
《整理番号付き入場券に関する注意事項》
・入場券はお一人様につき1枚のみ有効です。ご同伴者がいらっしゃる場合は、それぞれに入場券が必要となります。
・整理番号付き入場券をお持ちの方のご購入はお一人様1点までとさせていただきます。
・整理番号の呼び出し時にご不在の場合は、次の番号の方をご案内いたします。
・券を紛失された場合、券の再発行はできませんので、紛失にご注意ください。
・入場券はご本人様のみ有効であり、譲渡・転売は固くお断りいたします。
・整理番号付き入場券は、ご希望商品の購入を確約するものではありません。展示作品には限りがあり、完売となる場合もございます。あらかじめご了承ください。
・ご入場は原則お一人ずつとなり、滞在時間は最大10分に制限させていただきます。
《10時50分以降にお越しのお客様》
・午前10時50分を過ぎてからお並びいただいた場合、整理番号付き入場券の配布はいたしません。
・その場合、先着順で列をお作りいただき、整理番号付き入場券をお持ちのお客様の入場が全て終わった後に、順番にご入場いただきます。

[Information Regarding Sales and Admission]
To ensure that as many visitors as possible can enjoy the exhibition comfortably, we would like to provide the following information regarding admission and purchases on the opening day.
《For Visitors Lining Up on the Opening Day (Friday, April 10)》
Visitors who line up in front of the gallery by 10:50 a.m. will be entered into a lottery to receive a numbered admission ticket.
Admission will begin at 11:00 a.m., and visitors will be allowed to enter in order of their ticket numbers.
Please note: The lottery system is used to ensure fairness. Arriving earlier does not guarantee receiving a lower (earlier) number.
Resale within one year is strictly prohibited. (You will be asked to sign a written agreement at the time of purchase.)
《Important Notes Regarding Numbered Admission Tickets》
Each ticket is valid for one person only. If you are accompanied by others, each person must have their own ticket.
Visitors with a numbered admission ticket may purchase only one artwork per person.
If you are not present when your number is called, the next number will be admitted.
Lost tickets cannot be reissued, so please take care not to lose yours.
Tickets are valid only for the person who received them. Transfer or resale of tickets is strictly prohibited.
A numbered admission ticket does not guarantee the purchase of a specific artwork. Quantities are limited, and works may sell out.
Admission will be one person at a time, and viewing time will be limited to a maximum of 10 minutes per person.
《For Visitors Arriving After 10:50 a.m.》
Visitors arriving after 10:50 a.m. will not receive a numbered admission ticket.
In this case, you will be asked to form a line in order of arrival.

このたび桃青京都ギャラリーでは、伊賀を拠点に活動する陶芸家・谷本貴による個展を開催いたします。
谷本は、古伊賀の復興を目指した祖父・谷本光生、そして絵画的要素を取り入れながら現代伊賀の表現を切り拓いた父・谷本景の系譜を受け継ぎつつ、自身の感覚によって伊賀焼を再解釈してきました。伝統と品格を踏まえながらも、現代的な造形感覚と自由な発想によって、新たな伊賀の魅力を提示しています。
作品には、薪窯で幾度も焼き重ねることで生まれる伊賀特有の焦げや、複雑に重なり合う土肌の豊かな表情が息づいています。色彩に頼ることなく、土と炎の作用によって奥行きある景色を立ち上げるその表現は、力強さと軽やかさをあわせ持ち、見る者に新鮮な印象を与えます。
谷本は、「陶器にもジャズの即興のような自由さがあってよい」と語ります。計画通りにはいかない焼成や、不完全さの中に宿る美を受け止めながら、遊び心を織り込み独自の造形へと昇華しています。
その根底には、古伊賀が持つ「不足の美」への共感があります。アシンメトリーで儚く、完全ではないがゆえに惹きつけられる美を現代の感覚で捉え直し、伝統を継承しながらも新たな表現へと展開しています。
本展では、伊賀焼の伝統を引き継ぎながら独自の解釈によって進化させた茶碗、花器、酒器をはじめ、谷本の抽象的な造形感覚がより色濃く表れたオブジェ作品までを一堂に展観いたします。さらに、父・谷本景の作品もあわせて数点ご紹介し、伊賀という土地に連なる表現の系譜と、その先にひらかれる新たな可能性をあわせてご覧いただける機会となります。
伝統を深く知るからこそ生まれる自由な逸脱。土と炎が織りなす伊賀の古典に、現代の感覚と即興性を響かせる谷本貴の世界を、ぜひこの機会にご高覧ください。
Tousei Kyoto Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition by Takashi Tanimoto, a ceramic artist based in Iga.
Building on the legacy of his grandfather, Mitsuo Tanimoto, who sought to revive the ancient Iga style, and his father, Kei Tanimoto, who pioneered contemporary Iga expression by incorporating painterly elements, Tanimoto has reinterpreted Iga ware through his own sensibilities. While grounded in tradition and elegance, he presents a new charm of Iga through a modern sense of form and free-spirited creativity.
Tanimoto states, “Pottery should possess the same freedom as jazz improvisation.” By embracing the unpredictability of the firing process and the beauty found in imperfection, he weaves a sense of playfulness into his work, elevating it into a unique form.
This exhibition brings together a diverse collection, ranging from tea bowls, vases, and sake sets—which evolve from Iga ware traditions through his unique interpretation—to sculptural objects that more vividly express Tanimoto’s abstract sensibility. Additionally, several works by his father, Kei Tanimoto, will be featured, offering a chance to explore both the lineage of artistic expression rooted in the Iga region and the new possibilities that lie ahead.
